About Radisson Hotel York
A generous breakfast with plenty of choice sets guests up well at Radisson Hotel York, and there's a bar on-site for something later in the day, alongside a restaurant and room service for those who'd rather not venture out. Kids' meals are available too, making it a workable base for families as well as business travellers using the meeting rooms and business services.
The 200 rooms are en-suite with air conditioning, and many look out over the river or the city itself. Family rooms and accessible rooms are available, and practical extras include a lift, laundry service, drinks in the room, and luggage storage for early arrivals or late departures. A gym on-site covers a quick workout, and concierge staff are on hand for local advice.
The North Street location puts York Minster and the rest of the city centre within easy walking distance, with pubs, restaurants and other eateries nearby, plus walking areas, golf and fishing not far off for those wanting to range further. On-site parking is available but chargeable, and some find it can be difficult to secure a space, so allowing extra time on arrival is worth considering.
What guests say
I'd booked a single room and was initially put in a very unusually small room (described as a "cosy" room on the booking) with a high bed I could hardly get into. The Aircon didn't work so I was transferred into a really lovely much bigger room with perfect Aircon. No wardrobes as such in either room, a kind of hanger arrangement type thing instead. It's a few years since I stayed in a Radisson so not sure if this is normal. The "cosy" room had the smallest shower I've ever seen. The staff were all very nice and helpful at reception, at the bar and at breakfast.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Radisson York during a recent business trip for a conference. The experience was positive across the board, and my colleagues and I all had a comfortable and pleasant stay. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help, which made a great impression. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, providing a comfortable space to relax after a busy day. The only minor issue I encountered was a slightly unpleasant smell coming from the drains in my room. Aside from that, everything else was very good. Overall, a great stay and a hotel I would happily return to for future visits.

Lovely clean hotel in great location close to centre, shops and railway station. Check in lacked personal touch. Room immaculate but too chilly and no additional blankets. Toiletries were basic Reasonable priced breakfast and lot of choice Overall great stay and will return

We probably had one of the best rooms with a river view and balcony so this review may be biased. We paid extra for the room but well worth it. Very comfortable king sized bed. Amazing breakfast, pleasant helpful staff at reception and breakfast. Very close to the centre of York. Secure undercover parking charged extra but worth every penny.
