We had a wonderful stay! The guesthouse is clean, cozy, and beautifully maintained, making it a perfect place to relax. The location is also excellent—only about a 5-minute walk to the nearby attractions. A special thanks to the host, Mo, who was incredibly kind and helpful. He even helped us cook our steaks, which was such a thoughtful gesture and made our stay feel extra special. His hospitality truly made us feel at home. We highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area and would definitely stay here again!

I enjoyed visiting this delightful bed and breakfast accommodation. The proprietor was very hospitable and the amenities are great. The downstairs lobby and communal Kitchen are very friendly and the outside areas are very relaxing both on ground level and balcony level. A refreshing cup of tea was made for me with a biscotti biscuit.

A little gem. Just left to come home after 4 nights in this lovely place. Room very spacious, clean? comfy big bed,warm, good quality towels,hot powerful shower. Just really lovely. Short walk to city centre past park and lovely shops. Mo the owner is a proper gent so helpful and caring. Thank you xx Lovely kitchen that you can use with dishwasher and fridge freezer you can use. All you need if you wanted to cook. We went to The Marrakesh restaurant it is well worth a visit gorgeous food and ambience. Thank you Mo. Xx

We stayed at Crescent Guest House for 5 nights in Dec 2025. It's all we had hoped it to be and more. The owner Mo is an absolute gem of a person and personally ensured we had everything we could need during our stay. The rooms are nice and comfortable. Very well maintained and made up. We had an ensuite and the shower was nice too. Place is absolutely clean and the common dining / kitchen area is well stocked. Mo provided us with space for storing our food in the shelves and refrigerator too. His colleagues are also very pleasnt, friendly and well spoken. It is the perfect mix of comforts of a hotel and warmth of your own home. All the other guests we came across were friendly and polite too. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to visit York, UK.
