About Armadale Guest House

Holburn Street runs through one of Aberdeen's residential stretches, and it's here that Armadale Guest House offers a no-fuss base for visiting the city. Hazelhead Park and Pets Corner lie nearby, giving a green option for a stroll away from the granite streets, while the surrounding area also has golf, fishing, horse riding and watersports within reach for those wanting to range further afield.

Rooms are simple and comfortable, each with an en-suite bathroom, a DVD player, and drinks facilities for making yourself at home after a day out. Free WiFi runs throughout, and staff are on hand around the clock at the 24 hour reception. A cooked breakfast is included each morning, setting guests up before they head out.

Free on-site parking makes this a practical choice for anyone arriving by car, and there are pubs, restaurants and other eateries nearby for evenings out. It's a straightforward, well-placed option for exploring Aberdeen without unnecessary extras.

This is a lovely place to stay: the beds were comfy and the breakfast was tasty. The highlight by far is the proprietor: she was lovely and remembered our breakfast orders and little things we'd told her: it's clear she really takes an interest in her guests needs. She was super friendly and had great local knowledge: me and my dad really enjoyed our stay there and that enjoyment is in no small part down to Freda!

We rent by mistake there. Thinking it was in Cap Breton Canada ,we cancell ten minutes later. We ask the lady to refund or a part of it she said she could'nt because it was booking.com. And booking . com said she was the one to deal with it. So this people (Freda )and this place have no sense of respect and ethics. I sugest to everyone to not try this place to avoid trouble and lost money....No confidence at all! A friend was there and found bugs in his bed he did 'nt sleep that well he sleep over the blanket!...Such a shame this happen with internet guetting to this kind of place

Great hostess- Freda. Keeping high standards of health and safety. Clean and nice rooms. Bedding and towels smelling freshly dried in the windy garden. Tasty breakfast. Close to the centre with its own car park. Highly recomended

We arrived quite late on our arrival day but were met with a very friendly Freda who runs the guest house. We were shown to our room which was roomy, was ensuite, pleasant, comfortable, ample room for storage with a TV and fridge. The mattress was a bit softer than we are used to but was comfy enough for us to have 2 nights of good rest. There was also a kettle with a selection of tea and coffee. There were 2 other beds in the family room, one of which had a broken frame down the bottom end of the bed but the other one was fine. There was also a hairdryer in the room for guest use. In the morning the breakfast was brilliant. All freshly cooked, full Scottish breakfast. As much toast, tea and coffee as you'll need. There was also a selection of fruit juices, cereals and other things if you wanted to splash out. The downside for us was the room facing the back of the property with some crow infested tall trees. Around 4.30am, they ALL woke up and made so much noise. The other point was the shower in the room. You had to get up quite early to get a hot shower. At all other times of the day, the shower was not hot, mainly cold or luke warm. Apart from that, a great wee place and nothing was too much trouble for Freda. A very pleasant stay.
