A lovely building in a very nice part of Aberdeen. We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel and both were excellent. However, the standout feature of our stay was the friendliness and excellent level of service we received from all staff. A very well run hotel.

We booked to stay here for a one night stay as due to catch the ferry to Orkney the next day. The location was very handy, easy to find and lots of parking available. Check in was straightforward and we were able to book dinner that night with ease. The room was excellent - spotlessly clean, plenty of supplies like tea, coffee etc and spacious for our stay. The food both at dinner and for breakfast was excellent and the service was great - friendly and making sure everything was okay, but also not forced. Would highly recommend staying there

Very pleasant stay at Atholl. Very good breakfast and we had dinner there both nights as well. Room was excellent and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. Great location for exploring the area. Definitely recommend.

There I thought end of the hall room would be quiet, only to realise early in the morning that is right next to staff pantry. Very busy, very chatty, no sound proofing. Would have less of an issue if I would have slept well, but that was hard on floating cardboard-like mattress. Old or cheap or both. What hotels in Scotland seem to get away with.
