About Malmaison Aberdeen

Malmaison Aberdeen occupies a substantial granite building on Queens Road in the West End, converted in the chain's familiar dark, dramatic style, with deep colours, velvet upholstery and statement headboards running through the bedrooms. It sits a short walk from Rubislaw Terrace Gardens and the wider West End's restaurants and independent shops.

The hotel's brasserie serves the chain's usual steak-led menu alongside seafood drawing on Aberdeen's harbour catch, and the bar has become a popular evening spot for both guests and locals. Rooms vary from compact doubles to larger feature rooms, with a small gym available for guests wanting to keep up a routine while travelling.

Its West End setting is quieter than the city centre but still within an easy walk or short taxi ride of Union Street, the railway station and Aberdeen Art Gallery, making it a practical choice for visitors who want boutique styling without sacrificing convenience.

We stayed for the weekend to attend a wedding. Fantastic hotel and accommodation, and we ate at the restaurant for dinner and breakfast. The chefs were very accommodating to our dietary requirements, the staff all provided fantastic service. Food was exceptional for all meals.

Room was excellent, - everything you expect in a modern hotel . Dinner and breakfast were very good too. 45 mins walk from the station need a taxi ! Prices vary enormously depending on day of the week, but Sunday night was good value. Only complaint ? - price of drink in the bar. Or maybe I don't get out enough these days to compare prices elsewhere ? !!!

Had a fantastic overnight stay here. Staff were all great, and although there was renovation work going on, it didn't affect our stay in any way. Our rate included breakfast, and I had really good poached eggs on a muffin with avo & lime. The only slight issue, was our room had no heating in it, but this was made up for by 5 plug in oil heaters in the room.

A gift from close friends of Afternoon Tea for our 50th Wedding Anniversary. No soft, white bread in sight on today's menu. Chez Mal delivered polite, friendly service and a modern Tea with a bistro slant for hot and cold savouries and traditional bakes/desserts. Delicious food. Comfortable ambience.
