Golf View sits on the edge of Aboyne Loch in Aberdeenshire, positioned to take in the water and the landscape beyond. The main appeal is immediate: patio doors from the open-plan living space lead straight onto decking where you can watch for ospreys, deer and other wildlife. The loch itself is unfenced and lies just five yards away, so families with young children should be aware of this. A travel cot, highchair and stairgate are available if needed.
The house sleeps six across three bedrooms. Downstairs there is a double bedroom with its own toilet, while upstairs a kingsize bedroom has an ensuite shower, and a twin room shares a family bathroom with bath and shower. The kitchen is properly equipped with an electric oven, dishwasher, microwave and fridge-freezer, so you can cook proper meals. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are all included. There is parking for two cars on site, and the grounds have a sitting-out area with garden furniture.
Aboyne Golf Course sits across the water and is accessible to guests. Coarse fishing is available on-site, though a license is required and there is a cost. The village of Aboyne itself has shops and restaurants. The area sits in Royal Deeside, where highland games take place through the summer months, and nature reserves nearby offer further chances to spot wildlife. The house does not permit smoking.
