Tullich Lodge Cottage works well for families or groups of up to six seeking space without fuss. The three bedrooms—two with king beds, one with a double—and two bathrooms mean people needn't queue for the shower. Everything happens on the ground floor, which matters if anyone struggles with stairs; there are eight steps up to the entrance itself. The living area combines kitchen and sitting room with a woodburner, Netflix on the smart TV, and the essentials for cooking: oven, hob, dishwasher, microwave. A sun room offers an extra space to spread out. Electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and wifi are included.

The cottage sits within 60 acres of private woodland on the edge of Ballater, screened from the main house. The front garden has a firepit, summerhouse and seating, with views over trees where squirrels and birds are commonly seen. A bike store and parking for three cars are on site. Ballater itself—a short drive away—has shops, restaurants and pubs. The location puts you within reach of golf, fishing and shooting; the ski slopes at the Lecht and Cairngorm are a straightforward drive through the Highlands. No smoking is permitted in the property.
