We just had our evening meal at this little village pub. Amazing.. doesn’t do it justice. Trio of lamb chops and vegetables was next level exquisite. If you find yourself in Ballater put this gem on your list. Excellent service. Friendly people. 11/10.

Went there for lunch today 24th of July food was fabulous and staff great very clean immaculate hotel fish and chips and lasagne superb will be back again thank you for brilliant quality lunch at good value

My husband and I recently visited Ballater for a week at the end of September 2025. We did not stay in this hotel, but were recommended to stop for lunch by the local bookshop who said the food was fantastic. We decided to give it a try and we were so happy we did. The food was fantastic. The price was also reasonable which was difficult to find in the UK. Best of all, the staff! I cannot say enough nice things about Allan, Fiona and Fergie. They were so kind to us and made lots of suggestions of off the beaten path must see local attractions. And let me say, they did not steer us wrong. All places they suggested to visit were a 10/10 and we would not have found on our own. We returned our last night to have dinner in the restaurant and thank Allan for the amazing hospitality. We would highly recommend. We loved this spot and can't wait to return. @Allan- Go Pack Go!
