Just home from a lovely stay at Lyndale Guest House. Beautiful guesthouse and very clean. Rooms spacious with en-suite bathroom and some toiletries provided. Tea/Coffee tray well stocked. Lovely big window which fully opens and a big comfy bed. Breakfast was plenty from cereal, yoghurt, fruit as well as a full English available with other hot choices should you not quite manage a full English. Alison the owner met us on arrival with full details of our stay with them and was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast staff were very friendly and always smiling. A short 5 min walk to centre of Ambleside and a free carpark 100 yards from guesthouse. Thank you for a lovely stay and we will be back for sure and would highly recommend to others.

Nicely situated between the lake and town centre, the Lyndale was a welcoming base while we were in the area. Our room was nicely decorated and had everything we needed. The breakfast kept us going for most of the day. Whilst there is no on site car park, you do get the ability to park in a car park less than a minute away. The ticket is also valid in a number of other car parks around the lakes, which, given the cost of parking in the Lake District, is an added bonus. We would be happy to stop here again.

A very easy five stars to give. We were given a welcoming greeting with plenty of information. The room was well designed, clean and the beds extremely comfortable. Breakfast was very good, dogs allowed, great location, good price and free parking using a permit.

Alison is a very warm and welcoming host. Her house is lovely with very comfortable rooms, (always warm on chilly days). Her food is tasty and the location is very good - just far enough away from the hustle and bustle ( 5 mins walk into the town). Would highly recommend
