Families and small groups will find Coelard The Barn works well for a coastal break. The converted barn sits on working farmland with a garden running down to the beach—children have space to play outdoors, and adults can watch the water from the lounge through patio doors that open onto a patio. The silence here is genuine. A walk takes you to Port Appin village, where restaurants and a shop serve the nearby community.

The property has two bedrooms and one bathroom across two floors. Downstairs holds a twin room and a shower cubicle; upstairs, a king bedroom with its own toilet. The ground floor also contains the kitchen and dining area, where you can cook properly, plus a utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher. Bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and heating are provided. There is parking for three cars on site, and an electric car charging point if needed. No smoking throughout.

The location opens onto the beach directly, making this particularly suited to those wanting sand and sea without the fuss of a traditional seaside resort. Port Appin itself has restaurants within walking distance, and the broader Argyll coastline offers plenty for exploration on foot or by car.

Just returned from a wonderful 7 night stay at this beautiful cottage! It had absolutely everything we needed, the location was perfect and such a good base to explore the whole west highland regions. It was warm and cozy and the hosts were amazing, we will be back
