Steading Cottage

Steading Cottage occupies a converted 300-year-old farm building on the Airds Estate near Port Appin, positioned just 50 metres from the beach with direct access across private grounds. There is no public road between the property and the shoreline, making it genuinely secluded despite its proximity to the village. The three bedrooms sleep seven: two feature zip-and-link super-king beds that convert to singles on request, the second of which also has a pull-out single, and the third has two single beds. Each bedroom has its own bathroom with either a walk-in shower or bath and shower cubicle.

The ground floor combines living, dining and kitchen areas with a woodburner, smart TV and full cooking facilities including dishwasher and electric range. A utility room houses the washing machine and tumble dryer. Electricity, bed linen, towels and wi-fi are included, along with initial fuel for the stove. You have private parking for three cars and a bike store on the grounds; the front garden offers seating and BBQ areas. A travel cot, highchair and stairgates are available on request.

Port Appin itself is a five-minute walk away, home to two highly regarded restaurants within reach on foot, a community-run shop, gift shops and routes to Castle Stalker. The village sits on the ferry route to Lismore. Wider Argyll offers hillwalking, mountain scenery and coastal paths, with cafés and inns scattered through nearby Appin village and further afield. No smoking throughout the property.
