Ferry House is a contemporary cottage built right on the shores of Loch Etive, near Bonawe. The entire property sits on the ground floor, arranged around an open-plan living space with full-length patio doors that frame views across the loch and surrounding hills. Three bedrooms sleep up to six; the main has a zip-and-link super king (or two singles on request), and two further doubles complete the sleeping arrangements. There is one bathroom with a bath and shower over, plus a separate toilet.
The kitchen is fitted with an electric oven, induction hob, dishwasher, microwave and American fridge freezer, making it straightforward to cook. A wood-burning stove heats the lounge, and underfloor heating runs throughout. The study provides a quiet workspace. Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen, towels and the initial fuel for the stove are included. Outside, decking runs both down to the loch and across the front of the house, with garden furniture and parking for three cars.
The location suits families with children over four years old, or couples wanting a base to explore Argyll. Bonawe Quarry and the broader landscape are within reach, though many guests will find the loch itself reason enough to stay. Smoking is not permitted.
