Falls of Lora Hotel

The room we have is beautiful with a ensuite you could dance in not just squeeze through the door into. A lovely seating area to sit and read or look out over the loch view. You can enjoy a tea or coffee or even a drink from the bar.The room is clean and well kept. We enjoyed sitting outside on the terrace with a drink on returning to the hotel after our days out before getting ready for our evening meal. The food here is excellent definitely recommend. The staff are all lovely and I would definitely recommend you come to stay here if you're coming to this area of Scotland.

Stayed one night for a wedding. Hotel was able to accommodate our 2 dogs. The bedroom was clean, comfy, warm. It was perfect for changing, relaxing and containing the dogs. There's a handy back door for getting in & out with dogs without having to trek a wet animal through the entire place/early morning walks. The staff couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful, and took pains to make the wedding reception experience really welcoming. And the location of the hotel is beautiful. The gardens across the road from the hotel are peaceful and lovely, and the dogs enjoyed a quick dip in the sea too. It's also a 2 minute walk from the train station and has a decent amount of parking for cars. Can't praise it enough.

Honestly, I cannot fault George the member of staff who served me in this hotel. He was polite and rescued me as I had nowhere to stay whilst passing through the area. The staff in this hotel are so friendly, unlike other ones in obentown that just did not want to know the situation and just wanted a lot of money off you. I will definitely come back to this hotel with my friends when passing through the area again, again George, the receptionist was absolutely wonderful. The hotel is decorated in a very traditional style which is welcome after some of the corporate hotels.

We enjoyed our stay here. For a 3-star hotel, it offers a lovely base for exploring near-by Oban, with beautiful views. I think it's perhaps a little over priced - we stayed in the Deluxe rooms, and it cost a third more than other 4-star deluxe rooms that offered a better product. Some parts of the hotel felt a little basic, but the traditional decor and older features gave it a charming, classic feel which we really liked. The beds were very comfortable, and the sunny terrace was a real highlight — perfect for enjoying the evening sun (yes, sun in Scotland!) The staff were all very accommodating, especially the waiting staff, who were friendly, helpful, and attentive throughout our stay. The food was also excellent. Vegetarian options can sometimes be a bit disappointing, but they absolutely nailed the vegetable curry. Overall, a welcoming and comfortable stay in a great location.
