Lochgilphead sits where four lochs converge—Holy Loch, Loch Long, Gare Loch and the waters around the River Clyde—and Hillcrest Cottage commands views across this meeting point. The village itself is a quiet base on the Argyll coast, with the water and surrounding hills defining the landscape. Recently renovated, the cottage blends its 1888 bones with modern heating, a working kitchen and reliable wifi.
Downstairs you'll find two bedrooms: one with a super king bed (6ft), the other with a double (4ft 6in). A shower room with heated towel rail sits between them. Upstairs opens into a single open-plan space where the kitchen, dining area and lounge flow together. There's a gas woodburner, a large picture window framed on the lochs and countryside beyond, and a Freeview Smart TV. The kitchen is equipped for proper cooking: electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher, microwave and coffee machine. Bed linen, towels, heating and electricity are all included.
Out the back, a courtyard garden has sitting space, furniture and a barbecue (available on request). There's a lockable bike store, parking for two cars on site, and a rotary clothes line. The garden has nine steps. Children under five are not suitable for this property. No smoking throughout.
