Jura Pod is a contemporary single-bedroom pod built on a functioning farm in Argyll and Bute. Everything sits on the ground floor, with the living space doubling as kitchen, a separate bedroom with a 4ft 6in double bed, and a shower room. A sofa bed in the living area means a third guest can stay comfortably. Floor-to-ceiling patio doors open onto your own garden, where a three-person hot tub is waiting, along with seating and a firepit for evening use. You get a working kitchen with microwave and coffee machine rather than full cooking facilities, but bed linen, towels, electricity and wifi are all included.

The farm itself is the draw here. You can walk Chaz and Dave, the property's goats, or spend time with Kitty the Shetland Pony. The pod sits on a rough track and uses spring water, so it's genuinely rural. Oban is ten minutes away by car, offering the usual island ferries, distillery tours and coastal walks, but equally you might simply stay put and use the hot tub under the stars. Two cars can park on the property. The space suits couples, or a family of three; smoking is not permitted indoors.
