Leraigs Glen Farm Pods - Oban Pod

Step straight into Oban Pod from the parking area—everything is at ground level inside a contemporary structure on a family farm six miles south of Oban. The main space combines living and kitchen, with a sofa bed, smart TV, and enough equipment to cook properly: fridge, microwave, air fryer, coffee machine. A door opens onto a patio where the private hot tub overlooks Lerags Glen. The bedroom holds a double bed, and there's a shower room with heated towel rail. Bed linen, towels, electricity and wi-fi are included.

The pod sits on working farmland reached by a single-track road through open country. The setting is genuinely quiet—you'll notice the absence of noise rather than hear anything in particular. The farm has animals around the grounds, adding to the rural character. Outside the pod itself, a garden with furniture and a firepit gives space to spread out, and there's parking for two cars on site. The natural spring water supply and rough access track are part of what makes this a retreat rather than a convenience; smoking is not permitted indoors.

Oban itself, six miles away, is the practical hub for the area—ferries leave from the harbour for the islands, there's a distillery, and seafood restaurants overlook the water. Walks are on the doorstep: Loch Feochan, Pulpit Hill, and Glencruitten Woods are all nearby. This suits couples or two people who want isolation without complications.
