About Horizon Hotel
The Horizon Hotel has been run by the same family since 1980 and holds the distinction of being Ayr's only hotel right on the seafront, looking out across the beach toward Arran. Rooms are straightforward but well kept, all with en-suite facilities, and many make the most of the hotel's position with sea views.
The Vista bar and restaurant serves food and drink with a view of the water, and the hotel also operates its own wedding venue nearby. A night porter and ample parking add to its practicality for both leisure guests and those attending events at Ayr Racecourse.
Its seafront position puts the beach, Low Green and town centre all within a five-minute walk, making it one of the more central options for a straightforward, mid-range stay in Ayr.

Lovely hotel staff are amazing and very welcome room are great. Only down thing was when we went they close off car park for beer garden so u had to park in the opposite car park. But apart from that it was 100% for me enjoy my time from start to finish

Had a lovely 2 night stay. Located more or less on the beachfront at Ayr and less than 10 mins walk to town centre. Nice modern hotel, clean and spacious rooms. Staff are really excellent from restaurant, bar, and reception staff, all seemed to be local people which is a little unusual these days, but very welcoming. We ate in the restaurant one night and food was excellent with a big choice. Breakfasts too were very good with local ayrshire bacon, haggis & black pudding etc. No faults during our stay, we will definitely be back. Free parking adjacent to hotel also a plus.

Absolutely love this hotel. The rooms are great, the owners and staff are always amazing, super dog friendly, they even bring our dogs a sausage for breakfast at the table. We've stayed here so many times and love it every time! Back next month for another great music tribute night. Can't wait!

We recently had a one night stay on our way up north. Impossible to put into words how fabulous this place is. Our room was beautiful, clean and comfortable, the food was excellent, thank you Chef!! The location amazing. Extremely dog friendly. But most of all was the staff who went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. We will definitely stay here again. Thank you Horizon.
