We had the most wonderful stay at Pen y Garth and honestly couldn’t have asked for more. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel so welcome. Everyone was friendly, helpful and genuinely cared that we had the best stay possible. Nothing was too much trouble. The accommodation was absolutely spotless, beautifully presented and incredibly comfortable. Everything had clearly been thought through, making it feel like a real home from home. The hot tub was a real highlight! It was checked and maintained daily by the staff, which gave us complete confidence that it was clean, safe and always ready to enjoy. It was the perfect place to relax after a day exploring the beautiful Bala area. One of the biggest bonuses for us was that Pen y Garth is genuinely pet friendly. Our little dog, Dixie Pearl, had the best time too! It was lovely to stay somewhere that welcomed dogs so warmly, making our holiday even more special. The peaceful surroundings, exceptional cleanliness, fantastic facilities and outstanding customer service all combined to make this one of the best places we’ve stayed. We left feeling relaxed and already talking about when we can return. A huge thank you to everyone at Pen y Garth for such a memorable stay. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful, comfortable and pet-friendly getaway. Five stars all the way!

Booked this for valentines weekend and was not disappointed. It was a really nice and relaxing weekend, the park is quiet and offers nice views. The lodge was very spacious, quite clean and well maintained. The beds are very soft and don’t offer much support but it is what it is. Would definitely like to book again.

Just got back from another lovely holiday at our favourite place to stay in Wales.Pen- y -Garth has got to be the most peaceful place on earth! Beautiful surroundings,lovely exceptionally clean lodges.Hot tub,decking,a lovely view of the mountains & only the sound of the birds & sheep.We absolutely love it here.Just a few minutes from gorgeous Bala lake.Thank you to the lovely staff on the park making our stay even better.We will be seeing you all again very soon.

We visit this location on a regular basis for some time out of the daily grind of stressful jobs etc. stayed for four nights from 9th February 2026. On this occasion there were some tradesmen working on the lodge next to ours. We were later to learn that this wasn’t pre planned and they were out of season emergency repairs. The noise grew and we spoke to the reception staff, who was Chloe on this occasion. She was brilliant, apologetic and moved us to another lodge straight away. Thank you for your refreshing helpful manner Chloe. The location is beautiful and the park is well maintained and cared for .. would highly recommend.
