visited balham social recently and really enjoyed the experience. the restaurant combines indian favourites with modern fusion dishes in a stylish and welcoming setting. standout dishes for me were the chilli paneer, 1990’s chilli chicken, harissa scallops and the lamb shank madras. the butter chicken had a rich, flavourful tomato gravy, while the garlic and peshwari naans were perfect for scooping up the curries. the elderflower raspberry cooler was refreshing, and the pineapple & coconut lassi was creamy and well-balanced. a few dishes were slightly overcooked, but overall the flavours were excellent. thank you to deepa and joydan for their warm and attentive service throughout the evening.

10/10 food, service and fair price! Came here for a birthday and would come again, good portion size for us to share and fast service. The place was loud as they were busy but that’s more of others speaking too loudly not the restaurants fault!

Had an amazing experience at Balham Social! The food, atmosphere, and service were all outstanding, but what really made the evening special was Haritha. She was incredibly warm, attentive, and professional throughout our visit. Her friendly attitude and excellent customer service made us feel genuinely welcomed and well looked after. It’s rare to come across someone so dedicated and passionate about creating a great dining experience. Thank you, Haritha, for making our visit memorable — we’ll definitely be coming back!

We had a very enjoyable meal for 4 in a very hot Balham. We sat inside and no need to book even though we did. We ordered everything to be delivered asap. A great mix of authentic Indian food. Great music to bop along to as well. A great and cool evening!!
