Tapajax - Balham

Took my girlfriend here for her birthday today and I have to say wow… i was blown away by the Aperol spritz. We were served by a lovely chap named Billy, he made amazing drinks and was so welcoming. Also Danny what a guy, the vibes in this place are unmatched. Would totally go back it’s a sun trap as you can see in our golden hour piccy. 💚🏳️‍🌈🍹 happy birthday my angel 👩‍❤️‍💋‍👩

Booked this for my boyfriend’s birthday and we had such a great time. We had 6 plates to share between us and every dish was really tasty. Service was great- Jack was so friendly and attentive. A lovely atmosphere all round. We will 100% be coming back here and I’d really recommend it.

I visited on a Saturday lunchtime. First off, food was pretty good. Garlic prawns top notch. The fried squid could have done with more seaoning. Service….slow initially but picked up. However, the big issue here is the bloomin’ loud music . Now, I don’t mind a DJ but when he is blaring out bloody rap tunes at 1.30pm, so bloomin’ loud it really is unappealing. If you are going to have a DJ, have him play Ibiza style tunes not rap so loud you have to shout across the table. Loud music doesn’t generate an atmosphere by itself. The music needs to be tailored to the time and the mood. The DJ seemed to be a mate of the manager and I felt as though they were indulging in what they thought was good music. Based on the fact the music was so loud early doors, it is hard to recommend this place for a Saturday lunchtime. Cut the flipping rap music, play Ibiza style chill out music at a lower level. The music did actually improve later into the afternoon but by then the damage was as already done. Until the DJ improves, would not revisit at a lunchtime.

Fantastic tapas bar right opposite Balham Station. The food was fresh, full of flavour, and every dish we tried was excellent. The atmosphere was warm and lively, and the staff were friendly, attentive, and made us feel really welcome. Will definitely be coming back!
