About Loch Lomond Hotel

Balloch Road runs through the heart of Balloch, gateway to Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park, and it's here that Loch Lomond Hotel makes its base, with the loch itself and the surrounding countryside within easy reach for walking or watersports. Balloch railway station lies 1.53 miles away, making the hotel a practical option for those arriving by train as well as by car, with free on-site parking provided.

The hotel has 22 rooms across two floors, including family and accessible options, all en-suite and fitted with free WiFi and drinks. Rooms are generally kept clean and well-proportioned, though some guests have found them susceptible to noise, so light sleepers may want to bear that in mind. A restaurant and bar on site serve a full Scottish breakfast alongside kids' meals and drinks, with outdoor seating available and 24-hour reception on hand throughout a stay.

Staff are consistently described as friendly and helpful, and the location is well placed for exploring further afield, with a golf course, pubs, restaurants and entertainment all nearby. It makes a straightforward, well-situated stopping point for those visiting the loch and its surrounding walking areas.

We stayed in a lovely big room - family with a double and 2 singles, 2 bathrooms too with dining table in the middle - felt massive! Everything was super clean. Breakfast was really tasty and most things under £10 which was great value

Loch Lomond Hotel café is a good place if you’re passing through the small town of Balloch. Just had a coffee and a bacon and egg roll. The roll was spot on, simple food done well, egg cooked properly and good quality bacon. Staff member Lisa was really friendly and welcoming, a credit to the place.

A decent hotel for cost. Clean rooms, small but had everything we needed. Some other nice bars, restaurants nearby. The pub itself had unusual opening times & the room didn't include breakfast, although the pub served breakfast. You just pay extra, fair enough. The area is nice & handy for boat trip but not as pretty as Luss further up the Loch. The only thing I would change is how noisy the room doors are in a morning. We were woken up by other people's doors slamming shut

My husband and I had a 2 night stay here. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the local activities and offered great customer service. The room was very clean and a good size. The bathroom facilities were basic with just toilet paper, shower gel and hand soap. Again, it was very clean. It was a pity that the kitchen was not offering any meals but there's lots of options very close by. This did impact on the bar though as no-one used this space. We will stay again if the kitchen reopens.
