This is a very nice classical French bistro in London. Very much like places I have visited in Normandy. However, the food is excellent and upscale. It is popular, booked up and packed at 6pm on a Wednesday night. A bit too loud for me, but in a pleasant and lively way. The carte courte had three each of starters, mains and desserts. We had the asparagus with egg and asparagus purée starter, which was excellent (though I was surprised that the asparagus was not peeled, but was quite tender). Also the Rillettes de salmon l’aneth, which was a creamy salmon salad served with baguette slices and lettuce. This was delicately seasoned and very nice. We shared a filet of pork with bacon and a kind of pasta I have not seen before that looked like chopped linguine. Divine. I was forced to share the main with my wife, who said “I only want a taste”. We shared an excellent mi-cuit chocolate lava cake that was rich but not overpowering, and served with a cordell of vanilla ice cream and candied nuts. Delicious. Price was quite reasonable. Two glasses of wine, two starters, one main, dessert and a code for £100.

Beautiful lunch at CC. 2 courses for two with a drink. Lovely outdoor and indoor seating. We chosen a combination of starter and main course. Portion is generous. Food is amazing with different flavours. Enjoy!

A wonderful throwback to Parisian cafes of old. A daily chalked up menu of robust flavours beautifully cooked. It’s clearly very popular so I recommend booking.

Having lived in France, my expectations for genuine flavours were high. I was not disappointed. Service was lovely and the atmosphere was of a true brasserie. Daily menu ensures seasonality and quality. If you’re vegetarian, beware that the short menu is big on meat (like majority of brasseries are), but stopping for cheese platter and some wine would worth the experience too. If you’re treating yourself to a proper experience, indulge yourself in mains and don’t skip the pudding. Also, I appreciate them serving kir - so common in France, so difficult to find here.
