About The Bermondsey Square Hotel

Bermondsey Square sits in one of Southwark's more low-key corners, close enough to London Bridge and Borough Market to make the most of both without the crowds that gather right on top of them. The Bermondsey Square Hotel occupies this spot with 90 rooms geared towards comfortable, practical stays rather than fuss.

Rooms come with modern bathrooms, comfortable beds and reliable air conditioning, and the general standard of upkeep is consistently good. The hotel has a restaurant and bar on site, along with breakfast, free WiFi, a gym, spa and sauna, and an indoor swimming pool. There's also a garden, meeting rooms, business services, porter and concierge support, and free on-site parking, making it as workable for business trips as for weekend visits. Pets are welcome.

Staff are consistently described as friendly and helpful, though some guests have noted that additional charges during a stay aren't always applied consistently, worth double-checking at check-in. Beyond the hotel, the local area offers plenty of nearby pubs, restaurants and entertainment, plus a grocery store close by for anything last-minute, all within easy walking distance of London Bridge and Borough Market.

Had a great stay here, paid £20 extra for a club room, ours was on the 5th floor. The best thing about it was the quiet, couldn't hear the street (which is pretty quiet anyway) or the neighbouring rooms, water pipes, etc. just lovely peace! Some other points about the room: fridge with complementary water and chilled glasses (nice touch), blackout curtains, great aircon, really nice and very modern bathroom with large rainfall shower. The mattress was so good i took a photo of the label. You could say some parts of the room were a bit tired (e.g. varnish on the desk, some scraped off paint on a wall edge but the quality of the furniture and fittings made up for it. Bathroom looked brand new though. We went out for breakfast so can't comment on that. Sainsbury's local on the square, nice little park right opposite. I liked the area between the hotel and london bridge (station is 25 min walk). We will definitely stay again, i think for london it's great value, possibly distance to the tube keeps the price a bit lower? Highly recommend.

Stayed here the night before the London marathon. Hotel was perfect location, so close to London bridge station. Room was lovely, very clean, lots of room and very comfortable bed. Breakfast was included if you booked direct, good breakfast buffet, lots of options. Would definitely stay again if needing a hotel in central London. Staff were also super helpful

The room was very comfortable and cosy, and well equipped with toiletries, coffee maker and coffee pods, a kettle, an iron and a mini fridge. It was within walking distance of the bus stop and Guy's hospital, with easy access to London Bridge station from there. There was a grocery store directly opposite the hotel, which was very convenient. The rooms were clean and air-conditioned in this heat, and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Beautiful hotel in a great central location. For me, it was a little bit far from the next tube station, but I am also quite lazy, so for normal people, London Bridge Station should be within quick walking distance ;-) The staff was very friendly and the neighbourhood is amazing—you can get anywhere quickly and there is a supermarket right across the square. The room was spacious with a large bathroom and a super comfortable bed. I would definitely come back again! Thank you so much :-)
