About Dolweunydd Bed and Breakfast

Betws-y-Coed sits within Snowdonia National Park, a village built around walking trails, rivers and old stone bridges, with cycling routes and fishing spots close at hand. Dolweunydd Bed and Breakfast occupies a spot on Holyhead Road, offering an adults-only base for exploring the surrounding hills and valleys.

There are five rooms, each en-suite, kept simple and traditional rather than styled up, with tea and coffee available in room and free WiFi throughout. Breakfast is served by the fireside, and a library lounge gives guests somewhere quiet to sit with a book or plan the day's walk. Packed lunches can be arranged for those heading out onto the trails, and free on-site parking is provided across the property's two floors.

Beyond breakfast, there's outdoor seating for warmer days and 24 hour reception for flexible arrivals. Nearby options include golf, horse riding, watersports and a choice of pubs and restaurants, alongside entertainment for evenings back in the village. It suits guests after a straightforward, rustic stay close to Snowdonia rather than a polished country-house experience.

We had the most wonderful stay at Dolweunydd Bed & Breakfast. It is such a cozy yet modern place, with a lovely atmosphere from the moment you arrive. Our room was the best ever — beautifully decorated, extremely clean, warm, and incredibly comfortable. Every detail felt carefully thought out. Paul and Elena are exceptional hosts. As a husband-and-wife team, they create such a friendly and welcoming environment, and their kindness really makes the stay unforgettable. They truly go above and beyond to make guests feel at home. Dolweunydd is a little gem in Betws-y-Coed, and we could not have asked for a better place to stay. Highly recommended

We were very warmly welcomed by hosts Elena and Paul. The rooms are immaculate and the breakfasts were very tasty. A short walk to the village where there was plenty to see. I would have no hesitation in recommending this B&B

We had the loveliest stay here over the weekend. Paul and Elena are amazing hosts - they were friendly, welcoming and provided good recommendations for how to spend our time in the area. The b&b is very cozy and home-like, the room was perfect, the breakfast was lovely and the location is very ideal. 10/10 and looking forward to staying again sometime!

We had a great stay with Paul and Elena. They are great hosts and very kind people who want you to have a the best time at their B&B. The breakfasts are delicious and the portions are HUGE! If you don’t have an enormous appetite you will be hard pressed to actually finish all the food - we could have split one portion and been fine! In addition to the full Welsh breakfast they also had delicious Greek yogurt and amazing fresh fruit each morning. You could walk into town from here but due to rainy weather we drove. There is a place to park off the street (narrow driveway like so many in the area) but there were also a few spots on the road in front (which was sometimes easier as you could get in/out without turning around). While there is not a ton of traffic going by this property, if you are in one of the front rooms you will definitely hear cars passing (like most properties in the UK, there is no AC so you need the windows open - but a decent pair of earplugs will do the trick at night). Also, It’s only about 15 minutes to a great hike, Cwm Idwal, so don’t miss that if you stay here!
