About Glan Aber Hotel

Swallow Falls and the Gwydir Forest trails are both within easy reach of the Glan Aber Hotel, making it a practical base for exploring this stretch of Eryri National Park. Scenic driving routes fan out from the village, and walking and cycling country is right on the doorstep, alongside fishing, golf and horse riding nearby for those wanting more than a stroll.

The hotel itself has 26 rooms, including family and accessible options, all en-suite, spread across two floors with lift access. Guests can expect clean, comfortable accommodation, though some rooms have been described as a little tired in places. A restaurant and bar serve meals on site, breakfast is included, and packed lunches can be arranged for a day out on the trails. There's also a small spa with a sauna and hot tub for winding down after a walk.

Beyond the rooms, facilities run to a garden and outdoor seating, a games room, meeting rooms, and free on-site parking. Staff are noted for being friendly and helpful, and dogs are welcome, making this a straightforward, good-value option for walkers and families visiting Betws-y-Coed.

I had breakfast here as a non resident guest, the staff were very friendly and quick as I had a car to catch, the fried egg was so yummy and the mushroom was very fresh, the hash brown was so yummy. Again the friendly guy in the bar was welcoming and smiling like all people in Btws-y-coed. The place from reception to dining area is very cozy and cinematic.

As my first independant travel with my dog I was a little anxious but I was made to feel very welcome and comfortable. The room was a good size, nicely furnished and very clean. Dinner was delicious and piping hot. A particular shout out to the young lady on the bar who was warm and friendly and went above and beyond, thank you. Dogs are well catered for and made welcome. I would definitely stay there again.

Great location and bar, but the rooms were disappointing, no tap water, and only one toilet for the whole bunkhouse. (Ladies) Check-in was poorly handled, no clear instructions were given, so we didn't know where our room or the bunkhouse even was. We ended up back at reception 3-4 times just to get basic info, and the staff's attitude wasn't great either. Don't expect free parking, even with a reservation; it's first come, first served according to reception.

Really enjoyed our stay. We booked the suite for 2 nights Room was clean The food was excellent the staff were very friendly. Especially Maggie who works so hard . The only let down is who ever cleans the room. Had to ask for hand towels as none in room On 2 nd day all towels were removed and just 1 bath towel. May be some training on how many towels to be left in room. Really enjoyed our stay lovely hotel and beautiful surroundings
