About ibis Styles Birmingham Airport NEC
ibis Styles Birmingham Airport NEC is a modern three-floor hotel on Bickenhill Lane, built with the practical traveller in mind rather than period charm. Its 166 rooms come with en-suite bathrooms and air conditioning, and family and accessible rooms are available alongside a lift for easy access to all floors. Rooms are generally kept clean and spacious with up-to-date bathrooms, though a few have been reported as less well maintained, so it's worth flagging any issues with staff on arrival.
Breakfast is a highlight, with a wide range of choices to start the day, and there's a restaurant, bar and snack bar on-site for other meals, plus kids' meals for younger guests. A gym, garden, picnic area and outdoor seating add to the facilities, while business services and meeting rooms make it a workable option for those travelling for work. Laundry service, luggage storage and an electric vehicle charge point round out the practical offering, and pets are welcome.
The hotel's position on Bickenhill Lane in Birmingham puts it within easy reach of both the NEC and Birmingham Airport, useful for event visitors and travellers alike. On-site parking is available for a charge, and nearby pubs, bars and restaurants offer further options for eating out. Staff are consistently noted as friendly and helpful, adding a personal touch to a stay geared around convenience.
What guests say
Beautiful, clean room with pleasant temperature during an awful heatwave. Suprised to find an iron and ironing board in the room. Very nice bathroom with many, many towels. Great breakfast with wide range of food, glad to find seeds and fruit there.

Rooms were great. Comfortable beds, air-conditioning worked great. Breakfast seemed a little chaotic at times, often came down to things being empty or no clean tables or no clean cutlery. But nothing major. We used it as a Base for the expo centre and it was the perfect location.

Was meeting a work colleague at the hotel. The menu at the restaurant was limited so we ventured to Birmingham town center. The receptionist was very nice and helpful. Didn't see the rooms but my work colleague (whom was from China) said it was nice. Location for attending the exhibition was good.

Internet connection is the most important aspect nowadays and I hope Ibis Style Hotel will upgrade their internet connection to service their clients. Although there is no password to connect their Wifi, however, there is no connection at all. The Wifi is too slow and I could not connect at all. When I escalated it to the main reception, she could not help me with this concern. On the other hand, the staff is accommodating. In fact, they let me leave my luggage free of charge so that I could attend the conference without bringing my things hence my check-in time is at 3pm and I arrived at 10am today. My room is massive. It is a family room. This is the only room available when I book the reservation. The room is clean and it smells clean. The location of the hotel is accessible to the airport and train station. It is safe and quiet. I ordered food in their restaurant, it took an hour before my food was being served. As compensation, they offered a free dessert. The food is flavourful but the serving is small.
