About Moxy Birmingham NEC
Walk into a room at Moxy Birmingham NEC and you get a straightforward, well-kept space with air conditioning, an en-suite bathroom and free WiFi, with family and accessible rooms available across the hotel's seven floors and drinks available in room. It's a functional, modern setup rather than a fussy one, which suits the mix of business trips and NEC visits the hotel is built for.
Downstairs there's a restaurant and snack bar, breakfast with a good spread of hot and cold choices, and a bar that has a bit of a buzz to it in the evenings. A gym, games room, meeting rooms and business services round out the facilities, and staff are on hand throughout to help with luggage storage or laundry. Pets are welcome, and kids' meals are available for families passing through.
The location is the other main draw, with Marston Green giving quick access to the NEC, Resorts World and Birmingham Airport, plus nearby pubs, restaurants, golf and fishing for those with time to spare. Parking is chargeable and nearby rather than on-site, which is worth planning for, but with 224 rooms and strong transport links this is a solid, no-nonsense base for the area.
What guests say
Stayed for 1 night as we had an exhibition in the NEC. The location is amazing, right next to the NEC itself and with a lot of food places in the nearby Resort World. We ate in the bar and the food was decent with standard pricing as well. Room very comfy and just the right temperature. Only downside is that the car park is a good 10 minute walk away but that wasn't much of an issue really

Rooms too small with no storages whatsoever. Bathroom was fine. Air conditioning was wonky either too hot or too cold no in-between. Food was fine a bit on the expensive side, both for the food and stay. It was clean and neat, staff was very helpful. And the big plus is that it is very close to NEC.

Location is perfect! Albeit you have to park quite far away and walk to hotel. Rooms are small, particularly the showeroom. Very very small and uncomfortable (I wouldn’t return for that reason) I like the decor but it made breakfast very unenjoyable. Very very cramped. Layout extremely badly thought out and the seats while quirky are simply not practical. Worse of all I see this level of manipulation to try get their NPS score higher (check photo). Very very naughty and tells you about how they run their hotel. Would I revisit. No, sorry.

We were very satisfied with our stay at this hotel. The team at the reception and the bar were absolutely excellent — fast, helpful, and always ready to assist with anything. A special mention goes to the breakfasts — they were fresh, delicious, and very diverse. The room was cleaned daily and kept neat, which made our stay even more comfortable. Our 4-day stay was wonderful. I highly recommend this hotel!
