About Leonardo Royal Hotel Birmingham
The Leonardo Royal is a modern, purpose-built four-star hotel a short distance south of the main city centre, designed with a strong emphasis on energy efficiency and natural light. Rooms are spacious by city hotel standards, with an on-site restaurant, bar and gym.
Its location makes it a practical base for visitors splitting time between the city centre attractions and Edgbaston's cricket ground, university and Botanical Gardens, with the centre itself reachable by a short taxi ride or bus.
It suits travellers who want reliable four-star comfort at a more moderate price point than the immediate city centre hotels.

What guests say
The rooms are spacious and clean. Staff are friendly and answer the phone quickly. 3 stars for location as it's in the city centre so lots of nightclubs nearby and I was kept awake on my first night because of Rosie's which is a few doors down. The staff were able to move me to another room for my 2nd night which was perfect. Breakfast was great, lots of choices and the tables were cleared and cleaned regularly.

Richard and the team made my son feel like the king of world during his stay, we only stayed the night but Richard made sure Charlie was happy and that he enjoyed his stay. Just for that I’m happy to leave a 10/10 review. This goes without saying the room was perfectly fine and bar were also great. On site parking was also a great little bonus. We will be staying again. Thanks Richard. Hopefully see you again in the future.

The hotel is in a good location, specially to me. Very close to the Black Sabbath Bridge over the canal. Rooms are cozy and quite comfortable. One tip is: try to get rooms in the upper floors if it's not a problem. There are pubs and bars nearby, and staying in the lower floors may be noisy at night, particularly if you are travelling with children. Trams and buses are easy to get, and there are stops in front of the building. There is a market and plenty of entertainment in the city centre. The girls at the reception desk were very kind when I arrived.

I recently stayed at the Leonardo Hotel and overall had a pleasant experience. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and very calm, which made my stay relaxing. The air conditioning was working properly, and the room temperature was perfect throughout my visit. The bed was comfortable, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel felt peaceful and well maintained. One of the best parts of the stay was the cleanliness. The room, bathroom, and common areas looked tidy and organized. The staff were also polite and helpful whenever needed. The hotel location and overall environment made it a good place for both business and leisure stays. However, there were a few small drawbacks. The kettle in the room was not properly clean, which could be improved for better guest comfort. Another issue was that only small water bottles were provided, and it would be better if guests received larger bottles or additional water. Also, there were no proper tea cups in the room. Some rooms only had one cup, which was inconvenient, especially for two guests staying together. Apart from these minor issues, everything else was good. Overall, I had a comfortable stay and would still recommend the Leonardo Hotel for its clean rooms, calm atmosphere, and good facilities.
