About Novotel Birmingham Centre
Novotel Birmingham Centre works well for anyone combining business with a bit of city exploring, sitting on Broad Street within reach of the ICC and Bullring. With 148 rooms spread across six floors, it's built for steady footfall rather than boutique charm, and some rooms show their age, though the practical extras hold up: family rooms, accessible rooms, en-suite bathrooms and room service throughout.
Staff are consistently helpful, and the food is a genuine strength, with a well-stocked breakfast and an afternoon tea that includes a decent spread of sandwiches and cakes. There's also a restaurant, bar and snack bar on site, plus packed lunches and kids' meals for families or those on the move. A gym and spa/sauna are available for downtime, and meeting rooms and business services suit those here for work.
Beyond the hotel, the area has pubs, restaurants and entertainment nearby, along with a golf course for a change of pace. On-site parking is available for a fee, and the hotel accepts pets, making it a flexible base for a range of Birmingham visits.
What guests say
We were staying at Novotel Birmingham Centre, as part of a larger group for a regional sports event at the nearby Indoor Arena. The rooms were comfortable and ideal as a weekend family trip. There was secure undergeound parking for guests. The on site restaurant served an extensive and enjoyable breakfast. They were very happy to accommodate an early or pack up breakfast for those kids who were competing from early. There is a small and very popular kids play corner near the main reception. Very beneficial for parents who want 5 minutea to get themselves together before going out for the day, on on return from a long day. All the staff were extremely helpful, polite and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable.

I celebrated my birthday with afternoon tea at the Novotel Birmingham Centre, and it was a truly wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with the warmest welcome by Julett, who provided exceptional service throughout our visit. She was friendly, attentive, and made us feel genuinely valued. Nothing was too much trouble, and she made my birthday celebration even more special. Julett is a real credit to your team. Thank you all for such a lovely afternoon and for making my birthday so memorable. I truly appreciate the excellent service and would highly recommend the afternoon tea experience. I look forward to visiting again.

Special mention to Corina and Ionut, on the front desk both of them so were lovely and friendly and welcoming. I was worried about having to carry all my luggage with me to work and back upon checkout and Corina recommend the free luggage storage service which was really convenient for me. All the breakfast staff were also really helpful on both my visits and special mention to Jose I got to practise what little Spanish words I know with him.

Lovely stay at the Birmingham Novotel! The room was really spacious, spotless and very comfortable. It was actually the hottest day of the year so far while we were there, so having such a lovely cool room made a huge difference. The hotel were also really accommodating and kindly provided a fan for us as my daughter sleeps with one, which I really appreciated. The room had a mini fridge which was a nice extra, and I really liked that the bathroom was separate from the toilet it made things much easier. The staff were all so lovely and friendly and genuinely made the stay even better. We had such a nice experience I honestly feel like going back to Birmingham just to stay there again! Would definitely recommend 😊
