I recently went to the cinema with my friends, and overall it was a really enjoyable experience. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which made a nice first impression. The cinema was quite busy, but everything ran smoothly. The movie itself was great, and the seating was comfortable. However, there were a few things that could be improved: • When purchasing tickets online or at the kiosk, the seating map only shows the layout of the chairs. It would be really helpful to also see the screen size for that auditorium and the location of the entrance doors. This would make it easier to choose the best seats. • You can’t use your CER card at the self-checkouts, which was inconvenient. • Food and drink prices were quite high, which is typical for cinemas but still worth mentioning. • The biggest issue was the noise from the doors. Every time someone entered or left the auditorium, the loud sound of the heavy doors closing was very noticeable and quite distracting during quieter moments of the film. Despite these minor drawbacks, we had a good time and would still recommend the cinema. With a few small improvements (especially to the booking system, self-checkouts, and door soundproofing), it would be even better!

The car park is great, with three hours of free parking, which is very convenient. The food is always very good, but during busy times the drinks aren’t as good as usual. They often taste watered down and are served quite warm, even with a lot of ice. Apart from that, it’s a great place and worth visiting.

Self Made

Hi. I wanted to surprise my daughter by taking her first time at the cinema. We've seen Moana. I was very disappointed by the image quality and the sound. The image quality was like a £30 home video project but a lot bigger. Not sharp at all. Contrasts missing at all. Very dimm. Not vibrant. Do you remember people supposed to come to cinema to "feel" the movie ? The sound overall to low. Bass to low and not deep at all. Why you don't replace lamps regularly? Do you keep them clean? My daughter said we should have watched it at home. Shame on you.

100% the WORST experience at a movie theatre in my life!! Beyond enraged. My family and our family friends went to watch the new Spiderman movie today (31/07/26) and were so excited for it. Cliffhanger for 4 years. We were placed in Screen 9 and arrived at 3.29pm for the 3.30pm showing. There was a queue outside since the theatre needed cleaning. We entered around 3.45-50. This was fine, and really I had no qualms with it. Sure, it was a little unprofessional but it’s busy with both The Odyssey and Spiderman, so I’d say it’s understandable. What was not understandable, however, was when the first 4 mins of the movie started playing with, I kid you not, no sound whatsoever. I was flabbergasted. Is this real life? Never have I experienced something like this. I’m looking around, people are as shocked as I am, no one else knows what to do either. “Audio! Audio!”, “Stop the movie!” the people and myself are shouting. The audio comes on, but the movie keeps going and I’m momentarily afraid that they wont rewind but by some luck the idiots running the projection do end up going back to the beginning. Phew. Now I can enjoy this movie. And the soundless spoiler showed me that Tom Holland was looking mighty fine. I’m hype. But then, hmm, am I tweaking? I still can’t really make out what’s being said. I can’t be going deaf surely… The volume is so weak. I feel like I’m losing my mind and turn to my father who is also leaning forward in his seat, brows furrowed. “Is the audio still really quiet?” I whisper, to which he agrees. I try listening harder, “It’s fine, maybe it’s fine,” eyes are twitching now. I really do try to deal with it for like 8-10 mins but I can’t anymore. Neither can my father it seems as he gets up and goes to let the staff know. Goat Dad. He returns and tells me that the staff already know and can’t do anything. What. So we sit there and have the most horrendous time. I tried to gaslight myself into enjoying it, and still held on hope that I could have fun but the score, the dialogue, the booming that was supposed to have an effect did no such thing for me - because I couldn’t hear it. I speak to Team Leader Shaan, who tells me they knew about the audio problems in this specific screen and couldn’t do anything about it. I said “You knew but still did not shut the screen down? You couldn’t even let the customers know before wasting their time AND money?” and he said that they couldn’t shut the screen cause there are so many showings. What? I was at a loss for words. They couldn’t even leave the screen open for a lower price despite knowing the issues. For one of the most awaited movies of the year. We left completely blindsided. Freebie-less. And with no new movie tickets to watch the movie again (which I really would have taken). Shame on you Cineworld Birmingham. You make me sick.
