About The High Field at Edgbaston

Sunday roasts with generous portions and properly crispy chips are something of a signature at The High Field at Edgbaston, an adults-only hotel on Highfield Road in Birmingham. The on-site restaurant also offers private dining, making it a popular spot for families marking occasions, and staff are consistently friendly and attentive, even if service can be a little slow at busy times.

Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms, air conditioning and free WiFi, along with drinks available in room, and breakfast is served each morning. The hotel has a garden to relax in and a 24 hour reception, with free on-site parking for those arriving by car. Pets are welcome, so travelling with a dog needn't mean leaving anyone behind.

We hosted our wedding reception at Highfield Restaurant & Pub on 23 May 2026, and the experience was exceptional from start to finish. The planning process was smooth, the execution flawless, and the food outstanding. The staff were brilliant — friendly, attentive, and incredibly efficient. A big thank you to Ella and Emma, and to our waitress for the evening, Alia (hoping I’ve spelled her name correctly!). Ella supported us throughout the planning and helped create the exact decorations we envisioned. The staff were brilliant — friendly, attentive, and incredibly efficient. We’re extremely happy and grateful to the whole team.

We recently had a large family booking of 30 people in the private dining area at the Highfield Hotel, and I honestly cannot recommend them enough. From start to finish, the service was absolutely amazing. The team were incredibly helpful when organising such a large group booking and made the whole process really easy and stress-free. On the day itself, the staff were attentive, friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. The food was exceptional and everyone in our party commented on how lovely everything was. The team truly went above and beyond to make the occasion feel special, and they played a huge part in making the celebration even more memorable for all of us.

Have never been to the Highfield before and had a really lovely experience today for my mom’s 60th birthday. All The staff were lovely and a big shout out to Amelia who looked after us, such a lovely bubbly girl who is definitely a credit to the company, I wish I had taken the names of the girl who had served us at the start too! My crochet starter and lamb roast was beautiful which I had with the truffle Mac and cheese! Will definitely return back again x

Friendly staff, lovely venue and reasonable prices. Went with a large group for a meal and had a great time. I can't comment on the rooms as we were staying elsewhere.
