What diners say
The Royal Oak is a real classic of its kind. A small side street pub, but with a wonderful range of Harveys beers. The bar can be accessed from both of the pub's two rooms, and I found everything from dark mild to old ale and Harveys Sisters and dry hopped Armada Ale. The usual lagers are also here. The black and brown frontage of the pub proclaims Harveys brewery was founded in 1790. While the pub may be younger, it seems to have comforted the locals pretty well for a long time. Inside is simple, but so much of the main room is windows that there's not much space for decor. A noticeboard highlights pool and darts upstairs, though I wouldn't fancy getting a pool table up a stair case. A few old decorative bill posters sit on the walls, together with the odd print. This though is a pub for the beers and conversation I think. It certainly is good at that too, I've seen it packed so full inside I've barely made it through the doors. Quality boozer.

An absolutely beautiful pub that's a short walk from Borough. Always enjoy popping in for a pint on my way home and enjoying the atmosphere and interior. The pub has a plenty of seating and the punters are all friendly. Definitely give The Royal Oak a visit.

Lovely pub, with the biggest range of Harvey's beers I've seen in London. Well kept and properly served ales, in a classic calm pub atmosphere.
