About Park Inn by Radisson Bournemouth
Derby Road sits within easy reach of Bournemouth town centre and the Dorset coast, and it's here that Park Inn by Radisson Bournemouth makes its home, offering a practical base for exploring the seafront and the countryside beyond. The surrounding area suits walkers and cyclists, with golf and fishing also nearby, and enough pubs and restaurants close by to fill an evening without much travel.
Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms and in-room drinks, and the beds are a consistent strong point, though some rooms have been found to be less well kept than they should be, with occasional issues around cleanliness and smell worth bearing in mind. Breakfast is served on site, and there's a restaurant and bar for other meals and drinks, plus a garden with outdoor seating and an outdoor swimming pool for warmer days. Free WiFi and luggage storage cover the practical basics.
What stands out most is the value for money and the staff, who are consistently described as friendly, helpful and straightforward to deal with. For a stay geared around getting out and about along the coast or into the Dorset countryside, rather than time spent in the room, it does the job well.
What guests say
I have no idea why Radisson gives its name for this hotel. If you‘ve read the description of their Park Inn brand - this hotel is none of it. Except for the comfortable bed, I slept very good in it. They actually even failed in welcoming their guests the day we arrived. Pool was „out of order“ - green water inside it during July. Half of the open space next to the reception was akwardly empty with only some few chairs placed here and there - couldn’t find the special design of that place. Of course I can rely to all of the comments about the tiny shower in their standard double rooms. There’s also no place in the room to put your belongings into if you plan for a longer stay (don’t do it!). Why we ended up there? Simply trusted the booking.com reviews and didn’t check the place on google before we booked. Lesson learnt. (You can stay there, you probably will sleep well, the shower kind of does its job. - There’s nothing I‘ve seen that highly risks your health.)

Really enjoyed our stay at Park Inn by Radisson Bournemouth. The location is perfect – just a short walk to the beach and handy for everything. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout. But the real star of the show was the mattress. Absolutely amazing – so comfortable I slept better than I have in ages. Proper deep sleep every night. Room was clean and had everything we needed. Would definitely stay again just for that bed alone. Recommended!

There are a lot of bad reviews About this hotel, but it does look like it has had a major refurb. I had booked superior room and got upgraded to a premier room which apart from slightly old windows there are a little bit noisy. I can’t fault The room is large spacious and more than adequate for what I needed. Bathroom was also large with a large walking shower and again nothing here to fault. The reception area is Is lovely and all the staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was enjoyable and plentiful and all piping hot Lots of adequate parking at the hotel and on street parking right outside If I was to be negative about anything, it is the very small and dated comedy lift It really is a one person only lift if you have luggage, that I’d say is the only thing to bear in mind two of you in the lift is snug two of you with luggage is a no I would most certainly return to this hotel when next staying in this area with work or even for a few days holiday

We stayed here for one night to be close to the beach. This is the ONLY good thing about this hotel. Where do I start? The towels had hair on them, the curtains were filthy. The bed had a fingernail in it. The bathroom was tiny! My partner and I couldn’t both fit. The room had a funny smell, and the walls were so thin we could hear every word of the people staying next door. The floor above also creaks as people walk around. We are not staying here ever again. The shower was also stuck on boiling hot. Please don’t waste your money, don’t let the other reviews fool you.
