About Royal Bath Hotel Bournemouth

Bath Road runs down towards Bournemouth's seafront, and the Royal Bath Hotel Bournemouth occupies a prominent spot along it, with sea views over the Dorset coast and the town centre within easy reach. It's a substantial property, spread across five floors with 200 rooms, and it has long been a fixture of this stretch of coastline.

Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms and are generally spacious, though some are showing their age and would benefit from updating. Guests have access to an indoor swimming pool, gym, spa and sauna, plus a bar with regular live entertainment and a restaurant serving breakfast and meals throughout the day, with kids' meals available. There's a garden and outdoor seating for warmer days, a lift for easier access to upper floors, and accessible rooms for those who need them. Service has been reported as inconsistent, so it's worth keeping expectations realistic.

Beyond the hotel, the beach and Bournemouth town centre are close by, and the surrounding area offers golf, fishing, watersports, cycling routes and walking trails. Meeting rooms and wedding facilities make it a workable choice for events, while valet parking and on-site parking are available for a fee. Pets are welcome, and laundry and luggage storage are on hand for longer stays.

Wow. This place took me fully by surprise. First off, valet parking! Comes at a fair price for Bournemouth parking and felt very safe and secure that my car was being looked after. Next, walking in the entrance is just lovely. Met by the wonderful staff, who were so polite and attentive. Our room was huge and really more than we imagined. Yes we could hear upstairs walking about but it didnt impact our stay and we expected it for an old building. The gardens were gorgeous and we loved the bar! Really great atmosphere in there. We didnt get to use the swimming etc but at £5pp we will certainly be coming back to use! For a surprise visit that we werent planning, we will certainly be back. Really enjoyed our stay here and so close to the beach. Was a perfect mini staycation!

Perfect location! Wouldnt recommend standard room as very old furniture & carpet very dusty & had that old musky smell,,bed linen & bathroom was clean which is what you want.supplied a fan also. This was a last minute getaway at average price of £330 for 2 nights. Added bonus indoor swimming pool,,sauna & steam room for £5 each adult each time. We had breakfast one morning was ok bit like airport lounge, had a traditional fry up,also served cereals, yoghurts, toast, orange ,apple juices, coffee, tea, lattes etc...price was around £25 for both. The hotel grounds was a well kept garden with plenty of garden furniture, some sun lounges, there is also a gate you can use to step out onto the hill which has a great view of Bournemouth Beach, you can also sit & watch whilst having a coffee from the swimming pools little cafe, which is right next to this. Overall its a good stay. Didnt have to deal with any staff as check in was quick & simple. Got a 4* simple because of the dust & old furniture, smell. Would definately come back simply because of how perfect the location is but would hope the upgrade in rooms would be better for the extra money. This is a very big hotel, from what i saw there was only one lift & a few steps on the side we were which was level 2 room 229. Added a video off the entertainment area, which has a bar & leads out to garden at the back.

Hotel is pretty big and our room was a million miles from reception which was fine for us but would have been tricky for anyone with mobility issues. Rooms a bit dated and bathroom small but was clean and had a partial sea view. Car park is pricey but suspect there were cheaper options nearby had we looked. Location is fantastic for the seafront and events at the BIC which is about ten mins away. Lots of entertainment in the hotel so would be good for families.

Came here with my partner the other day for 2 nights to convalesce after a wedding in brighton. And it delivered wonderfully. The whole building has that perfect tone of old time grandeur by the sea. Had the sunday roast buffet and the morning breakfast. easy value for money. Exactly what you want. £5 all day pass to use the spa was amazing. Room was perfect and had a fan in it. yea we'll be back. All the staff were awesome, but, got to give a shout out to the maitre D, Khato. The nicest guy who took care of us. exceptional service. Thank you
