Camp Cynrig Tipi Village

Tipi village near Brecon offering tent pitches alongside glamping pods and static lodges, with shower facilities.

About Camp Cynrig Tipi Village

Camp Cynrig Tipi Village sits near Brecon in Powys and operates as a mixed-accommodation site, with a specific focus on traditional tipis as its defining feature. Alongside tipi pitches, the site offers glamping pods and static lodges for those preferring more conventional shelter, plus conventional tent pitches.

Facilities are basic: showers are available on site. The mix of accommodation types suggests the site appeals to both traditional campers and those seeking a more structured glamping experience, though the emphasis on tipis as the primary draw means this is not a conventional touring park.

We (2 adults, 2 children) stayed in the fantastic Cabin By The River. What a special piece of magic Rob has created here. The attention to detail is astounding. From the comfort and decor, to the signage and thoughtfully placed switches. With the cabin, there is no compromise; this is a home-from-home. Expect hotel-like conveniences such as fridge, kettle, toaster, hairdryer and hot electric shower (the fun, but less convenient bucket shower is a thing of the past). There is even an induction hob for an easy breakfast. A beautiful string of lights leads you from the front of the cabin to the toilet and shower (helpful for that nighttime call!) Suspended BBQs over fire pits offer a fun way to spend an evening and meet other guests. Top tip: if you're feeling brave, take your swimmers; there are paddling and plunge areas of the river! There are plenty more surprises, but have fun finding them out for yourself. I'd be back in a heartbeat, so if you're looking for Glamping around Brecon, you found it.

We’ve always been a bit reticent to write a review as Camp Cynrig feels like such a well kept secret for us, however, Rob, Sara and the family deserve such high praise - it’s a perfect place… There is something medicinal about staying here, it’s a tonic for the soul and a wonderful place to escape to. Turn your phone off and enjoy the incredible setting, the thoughtful details and the sheer, searing prettiness of the place. It is a delight to spend time here (and we often add on extra days!) We even spent our unofficial honeymoon here before heading off to New York. The place is actually very well equipped: electricity, warmth, so many beds, showers, toilets, and much more. There’s a river to swim in or walk along, cows and cattle to ground you (depending what time of year you’re here) and even a chicken run. It’s idyllic, and I’m not saying that lightly. Sleeping to the sound of the stream or the rain (sometimes) on the tent, reading in the shepherds hut, the dark skies at night... I could go on but you can find out for yourself. It’s heaven on a rather lovely piece of Welsh earth and the family work really hard at keeping it special. Attentive, kind, amusing - we’ve really enjoyed getting to know them over the three years we’ve been coming here. I’m just sorry it took me so long to write a review…

This is our 3rd visit, words can't express how much I love Camp Cynrig it's absolutely incredible. A Hidden gem so tranquil and peaceful with the stream running along side the camp. We always stay in the Eco Cabin it has everything you need and if you need something Rob & Sara will try their very best to help. You won't be disappointed it's tucked away 10 mins from Brecon. It's family friendly, enclosed space so your not worrying about where the kids are. The cabin sports a queen size bed and bunk beds either side so plenty of room even for an large family. Gas hob, pizza oven, sink, and everything you need to cook food. Even a BBQ area where you can light your own fire and cook over the flames. A hammock to relax and nice bucket shower at the back of the cabin is such an amazing experience. Up the top of the camp is a breakfast area where you can sit to eat. Separate toilets for each group that stays and warm showers 🚿 5 min walk away from the adventure farm and a 10 min drive from Brecon where shops and restaurants and Boat Rides for entertainment It really is a second home for me and my family we love it here. Prices are incredible even in the holidays. Genuinely 100% recommend Camp Cynrig

Had a magical week here with my family May half term a couple of years ago. We stayed in the eco lodge, washed in the bucket shower, dipped in the freezing cold stream, canoed on the Wye, went horse riding, did the waterfall trail and climbed Pen Y Fan. And there was never a cloud in the sky! Simply stunning!
