About The Gremlin Lodge

Brecon sits on the edge of the Brecon Beacons, with the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal running nearby and the cathedral within easy reach, making it a solid base for walking or cycling breaks. The Gremlin Lodge is on The Watton, a short stretch from the town centre, and offers free on-site parking for those arriving by car.

Rooms are simple and en-suite, with family rooms available, free WiFi, and drinks available in room. Breakfast is included, and there's a kitchen, luggage storage and 24 hour reception for guests coming and going at odd hours. The B&B has a traditional pub attached, with a pool table, darts and a beer garden for outdoor seating.

Golf, fishing, horse riding and watersports can all be arranged nearby, and the surrounding countryside is well suited to walking and cycling. Pubs, restaurants and entertainment are close by too, and pets are welcome for those travelling with dogs.

Stayed at the lodge for Christmas. Last minute as we booked somewhere else and it was terrible, but Gareth was able to accommodate us and saved Christmas. Dog friendly. The lodge is in a great location, lovely and clean with everything you need. Gareth was a lovely host and we will be staying here every time we visit brecon from now on. Perfect thank you Gareth and team.

Nipped in for a quick swifty after a wander around the town. Barman was really friendly, music was good. Dog friendly. Good outdoor area. Will revisit when busier, was only passing by. So will update review on next visit. Prices for drinks were cheap too. Not to forget. We ordered a pizza to take out. It was the freshest pizza we have had in a while. Would definitely recommend.

I was utterly disgusted how myself, my sister and daughter were spoken to this afternoon by an intimidating “ security” member of staff at this pub! We had popped in during a day visit to Brecon during The Brecon Jazz festival. We had a drink each and sat outside where bands were to be playing. There were no seats under Marquee but there were some seats off to the side, we had asked another member of staff if it was ok to sit there, to which they said yes.We were finishing our drinks and getting ready to leave, when a young girl around 8 or 9 that had been milling around , but being no trouble, asked if she could pass us. The music was very loud and we couldn’t hear what she was saying, so I leaned in closer to hear her better. To which we said of course and moved our bags so she could pass through, After she had passed , the security guy or steward charged up to us with an uncalled for barrage of abuse! Accusing us of deliberately ignoring the child, shouting at us at the top of his voice, red in. the face , very intimidating and bullying to 3 women who were not causing any trouble what so ever! I attempted to explain, that we could not hear due to the music and that my sister has a hearing aid too ! This didn’t stop the abuse and bullying behaviour, we were then threatened with being thrown out of the pub! We quickly left as, paying customers we did not deserve to be treated to such level of abuse. This guy was obviously looking to pick an argument with someone, and should not be in that job. Reported incident to bar staff on way out but should have also asked for the guys SIA number and reported him further! Shall not be going in this pub again, and encouraging others to do the same.
