About Cefn Cantref Campsite
Nestled in the Brecon Beacons National Park with stunning views of Pen Y Fan, this small family-run site is tailor-made for outdoorsy escapes. Spacious, well-maintained pitches welcome tents, trailer tents and campervans (but not caravans or motorhomes), and the peaceful, remote setting belies how brilliantly placed you are: Brecon's activity centres for canoeing, climbing and caving are just five minutes by car, while the Three Peaks challenge starts practically on your doorstep. Walkers, mountain bikers and families consistently praise the spotless modern facilities, including hot showers, a shared fridge and a parent-and-baby washroom.
The friendly owners run an on-site tuck shop for basics, and Brecon's supermarkets and gastropubs are a short stroll or drive away. Campfires and barbecues are allowed, charging points and recycling are provided, and there's even a 4G area if you can't quite switch off. It's a properly scenic, well-kept base for tackling the Beacons without the crowds.

Brilliant campsite with clean facilities. The owner was lovely and nearly always on hand to answer questions about the local area. Dog friendly and a quiet campsite. Super close to Pen Y Fan so a great spot for hiking. Brecon is accessible by foot or easy to drive to. Absolutely will be back and would recommend.

The best campsite I've stayed at so far! The host was very kind, polite and informative. It was quiet despite lovely weather. Showers and toilets were super clean. There's a small fridge freezer which is great for any chilled goods. The only thing that I'd change is water temp as it was over 30 degrees in a day and slightly cooler water would have been perfect, but other than that, cannot fault it!

Had an amazing couple of nights stay here and the real icing on the cake as I had the entire place to myself as I went mid week. Beautifully kept camping areas with electric hook up. Stunning views of Pen Y Fan (only a 16 minute drive from the campsite). Immaculately kept toilet and shower block. Hosts were friendly and attentive and very helpful. I decided spur of the moment to stay an extra night a little late in the day but they made sure I was all booked in and my payment was no hassle. Loved sitting by the tent, looking up at Pen Y Fan, whilst cooking and enjoying a campfire.
