About The Harp Inn

Glasbury sits within easy reach of Hay-on-Wye, well known for its bookshops and festival crowds, while Bike Park Wales gives mountain bikers a reason to base themselves nearby. Walkers, anglers and horse riders will find the surrounding countryside puts fishing, riding and open trails on the doorstep, and the inn itself has a garden and picnic area for whiling away an afternoon outdoors.

The Harp Inn is an adults-only pub hotel with just five rooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom and kept to a high standard of cleanliness, with comfortable beds and drinks available in the room. Free WiFi and 24-hour reception are included, and pets are welcome, so a dog can settle in alongside its owners.

Downstairs, the restaurant and bar serve generous breakfasts, packed lunches and pub food, backed by a solid range of beers, with kids' meals available for family visitors passing through. Staff are consistently described as warm and welcoming, and prices are considered fair for what's on offer. Free on-site parking makes it a straightforward stop for exploring the wider area around Glasbury.

We stayed here for one night on our way to Snowdon. Andy was really friendly and welcoming. The room was spotlessly clean and had everything you could need. The breakfast was delicious and a quick trip into Hay on Wye was brilliant! Would 100% recommend and definitely come back on any future trips to Wales!

Lovely stay, cosy, cute room with everything we needed for a night’s stay to visit Hay-on-Wye. Very clean & comfortable, a sparkly fresh bathroom and our breakfast was delicious. Helpful friendly staff, don’t hesitate to book.

We were staying in a campsite nearby and happened upon this pub in search of beer and food and was not disappointed, despite it being very busy they managed to fit us in which we were most grateful for as we had been canoeing all day and hadn’t eaten. The service was great as was the food, the bar staff were very welcoming and chatty. The beer was great the food was great and so were the staff, it was very refreshing to be in a proper pub and not a Wetherspoon’s. Thanks again!
