About DoubleTree By Hilton Brighton Metropole

DoubleTree By Hilton Brighton Metropole occupies a large Victorian building on Kings Road, its seven floors and imposing façade making it one of the seafront's most recognisable landmarks. With 321 rooms, it's a substantial hotel, but one that still keeps its period character alongside modern additions like air conditioning throughout.

Rooms are spacious and comfortable, many with sea views over the promenade, and come with en-suite bathrooms, room service and family options for those travelling with children. There's a restaurant and bar on site, along with a snack bar, packed lunches and kids' meals, and breakfast is varied enough to set guests up properly for the day. For downtime, there's an indoor pool, spa and sauna, a gym, and outdoor seating and picnic areas to make use of the coastal setting. The hotel also handles weddings, with a bridal suite and meeting rooms for events and business.

The location puts the promenade, seafront shopping and the Brighton i360 within easy reach, along with plenty of nearby pubs, restaurants and entertainment, plus walking and cycling routes along the coast. On-site parking is available but comes at an extra cost, worth factoring in if you're driving down.

We just completed a lovely five day stay. We are retired nomads and stay in hotels upwards of 275 nights a year, and this is one of our top hotel experiences of the past 3 years we've been doing this. Anywhere in the world.. The highlight of our stay was the staff. Everyone was kind and helpful. We experienced a couple of kinks with internet and parking issues, and they were solved instantly in ways that exceeded our expectations. This is a large hotel with hundreds of rooms, so to feel that much individualised care and attention was heartening. The room was large and inviting. There was plenty of storage space and the air conditioning worked like a charm during an extreme heatwave in our room. The room and bathroom was immaculately clean, and there was no noise at all. Breakfast was top shelf, and though the attendance was large it was expertly managed and we never had to wait more than a minute to be seated, and they never ran out of our favorite food items. We looked forward to eggs done in different ways each morning and there were several products to choose from. All in all, we would definitely stay there again.

All I can say is wow! We had a fabulous 3 night stay as a family of four in room 405. We had the most gorgeous seaview, the room was extremely spacious which led to us spending more time in the room than we normally would. We opted for the pavilion package which included tickets to the Brighton pavillion and was a real highlight of our stay. Being a Hilton honours member did enhance the stay as we were able to check in the day before as well as use our phones as digital key so we didn't need to queue at reception to pick these up. The family games room was great and was a perfect place to let the kids unwind before heading up to bed. The swimming pool was also fab and very easy to book. All in all this hotel was perfect for our family and I will certainly book again ☺️

We stayed for a weekend break in a Superior Queen room with 2 kids. Our room was not sea facing and was very quiet, so no issues sleeping. The room was spacious. Thought the lay out was not necessarily optimal given the decent space available. That said we did really enjoy the room. Had a nice table to sit at also. Small note - TVs are not smart as of this review date, in case that is of interest to you. Warm reception welcome. Would recommend a stay here. Location was amazing! Short walk to the pier, shopping and lanes. Car Park was tight so beware if you have a large car. Breakfast was a very nice selection.

We escaped to Brighton during the heatwave, and the air conditioning was such a treat- a very welcome relief from the moment we walked in. I've known this hotel for years, having stayed here back when it was still a Hilton. But from our last couple of stays, it's very clear that a lot has changed under the management of Rekha, the General Manager. Everything just works, seamlessly. The service levels are top notch, which is especially worth commending in a market like Brighton, where it's easy to let standards slip during peak season. From the DJ on the terrace to the excellent front office team, every detail is considered. One of the most impressive parts was breakfast. Without any exaggeration, it's probably the best-managed large hotel breakfast restaurant we've come across, thanks to Christian and his team who were on duty the mornings we visited. Everything runs like clockwork. Thank you, Rekha and team! We can't wait to visit again
