About The Market Inn
A traditional corner pub building in the heart of Brighton, The Market Inn combines a working bar downstairs with guest rooms above, putting visitors right in the middle of the action near the Royal Pavilion and Brighton Pier. The style is unpretentious and sociable rather than boutique, with the kind of character that comes from being a genuine local rather than a purpose-built hotel.
Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms, free WiFi and the option of drinks brought straight to the room, while breakfast is served on site and reception is staffed around the clock. The bar itself is a draw in its own right, known for a wide drinks selection including reasonably priced prosecco, a straightforward pub food menu, and an evening atmosphere that regularly runs to karaoke. Staff are consistently described as friendly and welcoming, which helps set the tone for the lively evenings downstairs.
Being so central means the surrounding streets can get busy, particularly at weekends, so this suits guests who want to be in the thick of things rather than tucked away somewhere quiet. Golf, fishing and watersports are all within reach nearby, and there's no shortage of other pubs, restaurants and entertainment on the doorstep for those who fancy exploring further afield.

What guests say
Perfect Brighton pub. Staff are welcoming and friendly. Plenty of evening entertainment. Good food, freshly prepared and a selection of drinks to go with it. It is located in the Lanes so near to everything including the beach. Also the main taxi rank is close by so easy to have a quick drink before going home.

A wonderful evening at the Market Inn, perfectly organized by the amazing WhitePress team! The atmosphere was lively, the pizza was delicious, and the beers were cold. The karaoke and quiz made the night even more fun and special. Congrats to Steve, Alex, and the wonderful Market Inn team for running this place so well! And of course, a big thanks to Jeremy, Sabina, and Tomasz from WhitePress for making this happen. I would definitely recommend Market Inn for events like this as well as for memorable evenings with friends. See you next year during BrightonSEO!

Very kind and helpful people. Last week while visiting Brighton, I had a bit of an accident and happened to bump into someone who works at the pub, possibly the owner. He offered to help by letting me use the pub’s first aid kit. A lady in the pub (who I believe was called Kate) was incredibly kind and helped clean my arm and put it in a sling. She even went as far as buying me a pint. I am very grateful to this pub and the kind people who and drink there. The pub itself is great and I will definitely visit again if I find myself back in Brighton. Many thanks!

Popped in for a pint and stayed for more. So friendly. Decided to eat the small plates menu. Very tasty. Definitely hit the spot. I like real ale and I can definitely say the Harvey's Sussex best was spot on. Next time I'm in Brighton I will definitely be back in here
