GE'EZ Restaurant & Bar

My first experience with Ethiopian food couldn't have been better! The food was absolutely delicious, and I'd highly recommend the Meat & Veg Combo, was a great way to try a variety of dishes. I'd also recommend the honey wine which was lovely. The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. I'll definitely be back!

I've had Ethiopian and Eritrean food a few times across south London and this was by far the most food I attempted in a night. The portions were very generous and we consciously had to stop ourselves (which was very difficult considering the food was so good). The lentils were addictive, the meat and sauce in the middle (sorry not sure the name) were perfection and added juiciness to the dish. The service was amazing, everyone was very kind, attentive, generous and the owner was lovely to talk to. It's definitely a place we'll be going back to and I've already recommended it to a few friends in the area. £60 for two people, a bottle of wine and loads of delicious leftoverd, definitely worth it.

Absolutely incredible!! One of the best Ethiopian experiences in London! We had the veggie and meat sharing platter for two and WOW! Everything was so delicious. The meat was unbelievably tender and full of flavour, and the veggie dishes were rich, comforting, and perfectly spiced. Truly one of the most authentic Ethiopian meals we’ve had in London. A huge shoutout to the owner, Tsegewoini, who was absolutely amazing!!! She made us feel so welcome from the moment we walked in! Warm, attentive, and genuinely lovely. The service was really top-notch and added so much to the whole experience. The restaurant itself is super cute and cosy, with beautiful decorations that make you feel right at home. Such a special atmosphere. Can’t recommend GE’EZ Restaurant & Bar enough!!! Fantastic food, wonderful service, and a place we’ll 100% be coming back to. ❤️

I organised a family lunch with 15+ of us as a surprise for my husband’s anniversary. Tsege the owner was fantastic through and through, from the moment I went to GE’EZ to inquire, to her consistent communication, and everything on the day. In every moment Tsege’s kindness and hospitality come through, with her attention to detail being unmatched. The food was absolutely incredible (!!!) and Tsege’s hospitality & generosity meant that she spoiled us all day. Because it being Orthodox Easter (something I completely forgot upon booking), she not only honoured the booking regardless but even treated us with fresh Himbasha (bread) and homemade Mez (honey wine). We honestly couldn’t have picked a better place for a family gathering and can’t thank Tsege & team enough for making the day so special! My husband was over the moon, everyone was well fed and happy. We will most definitely be back!
