do not come to this establishment for a football game if you actually want to watch a football game!! I have never seen such a disorganized system with security that gets so much enjoyment out of depriving people entry. For the England Panama game the group of girls in front of me asked why security’s friends were able to cut the queue, and they took that personally. They did not let anyone else into the pub until the 80th minute even though we had been queuing since before the game started. Once they actually let people in, the pub garden was basically empty and it was clear they were enjoying their power play. When I finally got to my friends who’d been there for hours they even confirmed for the arsenal game it was way more packed.

We booked The Rebel Room upstairs for our engagement party (of 80 people) and cannot recommend this venue enough. The atmosphere, food, and space itself were 10/10. The staff delivered super quick service on the night and Olivia was incredibly helpful during the organization stage. Our guests also said they had the best time! Would recommend for any special occasions!

1 star is too much. Horrific experience. Booked months in advance a big table for my birthday. Despite the majority of my party being outside for 45 minutes and not being allowed in. Doorman was incredibly rude shouting in everyone’s faces and told the birthday girl “she talks too much” after trying to get her friends who had been waiting in. Absolute shit show Should not have been letting people in when there are bookings and people’s evenings ruined. Went down the road to king and co and they were more than accommodating and were super lovely. Horrific management and door staff 10/10 would not recommend.

Came here to watch the 6 nations in the afternoon as a group of 8 and then to host an evening birthday party in their rebel room for around 60. Despite it being super busy due to the rugby, the staff were friendly & efficient throughout, and service was as quick as you can expect at those busy times! We had Connor as our bartender in the Rebel Room in the evening and he was fantastic, great service and really personable all the way through. The managers who helped us setup were also great but I didn't catch their names, and Olivia who we set it up with over email was friendly and helpful. I'd definitely recommend the Hope & Anchor for either a place for a beer and to watch sport and a place to host a birthday party! Will be returning, thank you!
