Broadland
View on Google MapsBroadland's countryside around Norwich holds quiet appeal for those wanting to escape the city without going far. Church Farm Cottages – Barn Owl is a ground-floor cottage set within 11 acres of farmland, with footpaths from the property leading to Marriotts Way and woodland beyond. The village centre, with shops and pubs, is a quarter-mile away, and Norwich itself lies 5 miles south. The cottage contains one bedroom with zip-and-link beds, a shower room, and a combined living and kitchen space with a breakfast area. An electric cooker, microwave, fridge-freezer and washer-dryer mean you can cook and look after yourselves properly. Outside, a small enclosed garden with patio and garden furniture gives you your own outdoor space. Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen and towels are provided. There is on-site car parking and a bike store if you want to explore the footpaths and lanes by pedal. No smoking is permitted indoors.
The location suits walkers and those drawn to the Broads' quieter side. Fishing at Hevingham Lakes is 3 miles away. Nearby are Hoveton Hall, Fairhaven Woodland and Water Garden Trust, Thrigby Hall Wildlife Park, and the National Trust properties at Blickling and Felbrigg. The cottage sleeps 2 and one pet is welcome.

Louise is a great hostess and person to deal with, very professional. The harvest Barn is amazing and there is a great big open field opposite for the dogs to walk and play. Shops are very local within minutes in a car if you need supplies. The area is very peaceful and the locals are pleasant. This place must be amazing in the summer. Highly recommended.

Lovely looking holiday barns, delivered the family their weeks holiday groceries/shopping. Think their was about 3 self contained Holiday barns, all with a little garden/outdoor space and parking. The site looked well maintained.

Fabulous holiday Barns in rural North Norfolk. Had a great stay with 16 family members and 2 dogs! Everyone had a lovely time, great location in the countryside and within 1/2 hour drive to the seaside.

Lovely place, clean, comfortable and well equipped. Louise is friendly and helpful. It's ideal if you have a dog as it has a lovely gated garden. Would have been 5 stars but for the narrow roads to and from the cottage. Would definitely go again.
