We enjoyed a weekend away, although unfortunately it didn't get off to the best start. The young lady on reception wasn't particularly welcoming or engaging, and her manner almost had us considering checking out and cancelling our stay before it had even begun. The room was adequate, but for the price paid it could really do with an overhaul. Even many Premier Inns now offer air conditioning, and this is something that would certainly improve the comfort of the rooms. That said, the hotel's location is excellent and ideally situated for an easy trip into Cambridge. The photographs of the swimming pool, taken with a wide-angle lens, give the impression of a large leisure area. In reality, the pool is quite modest, and there was a noticeable lack of seating around the poolside. With only a few families using the facilities, guests were already struggling to find somewhere to sit. The gym was excellent and made for a very enjoyable early morning workout. It was well equipped and one of the highlights of our stay. The food was very good, and the breakfast buffet offered a wide selection of quality items. One area that could be improved is the availability of quiet spaces for guests wanting to read or simply relax, as these were difficult to find. The standout member of staff during our visit was Nathan. He was personable, engaging and always smiling while working behind the bar and delivering food. He is a real credit to the hotel. It's encouraging to see the hotel investing in young staff, and hopefully other team members can be mentored to deliver the same high standard of customer service that Nathan naturally provides.

I spend the day at Belfry Spa with my bridal party. The staff are friendly and offered an amazing service. The Spa has great facilities, we used the jacuzzi, pool, sauna, relaxation room. We also had spa treatment such as facial, full body scrub, wellbeing massage. I particularly commend Victoria (Therapist) for the wellbeing and facial treatment she did. I left feeling light as a feather. All the knots on my shoulder and back are completely gone. We also enjoyed two meals at the restaurant and bar and were offered prosecco both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. The salmon and salad, soup option is great and we also had fish fingers wraps with fries, absolutely delicious 😁. Thank you again for an amazing experience and for my flowers❤️.

Lovely sized rooms with great bathrooms. The breakfast is nice, but could do with more picky bits like muffins. Our room was behind the lifts so we could unfortunately hear every time they were used. The spa is nice, but did feel like an old man’s club midweek but that’s not really the fault of the hotel.

The hotel is quite decent. The facilities and the furniture are proper. Yet, the daily cleaning service is sloppy. They didn’t really do the cleaning well and sometime forgot to refill the water. The major issue is that some of the staff aren’t really helpful, and perhaps there are some issues in the hotel management. Such as the morning call issue. I put on a morning request on the first night but it didn’t deliver so I ask what happened. The staff just kept on telling me they have put my request on the morning call system and seems like it wasn’t their fault. I then requested the morning call service for the next day and the hotel staff promised me it will be delivered on time the next. Still, it wasn’t delivered. I immediately request for doing the morning call manually that morning. The staff said ok but she didn’t do it. I kept on reflecting the issue and no one took it serious. Finally, we met a Hong Kong staff , she is very helpful. She told me after her investigation, the hotel morning call service was broken. Therefore, she told us that she will inform her colleagues that they have to do the morning call for us manually. However, this hotel disappointed me once again. Even with special reminder from the Hong Kong staff, the staff responsible for the morning shift still didn’t do the call manually. I was so frustrated. I talked to the Hong Kong staff again, she promised me that the morning call will delivered on time on the next day as she was the one be responsible for the morning shift. Finally the morning call arrived on time without my follow-up reminder on the fifth day we stayed in the hotel. I thought I won’t have to worry about the morning call issue the next day. However, I was wrong, the next day they didn’t deliver the morning call again and I had come down and look for the receptionist in the morning to make them do the call immediately. I could not tolerate anymore, I requested to talk to the manager, I explained all the issue and she refused to admit they forgot to do the morning call manually that morning. I was so angry but what she did is like she just want me to shut up and didn’t admit their fault. I was so angry about that as it added extra workload to me, the teachers also complained about this to me. Since then, I feel like the staff form the hotel didn’t like me and always pull a long face to me. I was extremely disappointed Regarding the hotel management, seems like not every staff know that the morning call system was broken so they thought they can still do that with system but I expect that everyone should know it after the investigation done by the Hong Kong staff. But the Hong Kong staff (Stella) is very nice and helpful!
