What a beautiful building and location. The gardens were lovely. Our room was small but very adequate and clean. Breakfast was very nice. The bar was also good with a small food menu in the evenings. All the staff were very friendly and polite. We will definitely book again.

Excellent place with lovely gardens. My husband had a function with the University so I went along for a walk around the grounds and we went to the cafe. The cafe is fantastic and it was busy and the service was excellent and we greatly enjoyed the decor and especially the wallpaper with the famous alumni and especially seeing Jo Cox and Stephen Fry and many others. Cannot comment on hotel rooms as I didn't stay there but would obviously like to.

Our son bought me a voucher for afternoon tea as a birthday present. What a treat, the service, the food and the venue were exemplary. My voucher was for the sparkling version, because of a change in some medication I can no longer drink alcohol...no problem, I was served with Noseco so that I could enjoy the full experience. Our server Freya was lovely, very friendly and attentive without being intrusive. On the whole the afternoon was an immense pleasure.
