We booked a party for 17 ten-year-old boys at Discobowl Cardiff, and overall the kids had an absolute blast. Initially, we were a bit apprehensive as the party was scheduled alongside a group of six adult men. However, the kids ended up fully embracing it, teaming up and really getting into the spirit of the games. In fact, they seemed to enjoy the challenge so much that the adult group opted to move their second game to a later time, leaving the party group to continue on their own. As a party venue, it’s brilliant from a child’s perspective. The kids came out buzzing and full of energy. The food was also a pleasant surprise — the pizzas were really tasty, and the slushies went down a treat. That said, the organisation and communication left a lot to be desired. We weren’t given any clear guidance or information on arrival and had to keep asking questions throughout. Basic details weren’t explained, such as whether there was a designated area for the kids to eat (which we ended up setting up ourselves), how long the games would last, or when food and drinks would be served. While this didn’t impact the kids’ enjoyment at all, it was frustrating for the adults, especially when trying to manage expectations and answer questions without having the necessary information. In summary, a fantastic experience for the children, but the venue could really improve its communication and organisation to better support party hosts.

Made the most of the Sunday night £10 bowling this evening and had a fabulous time. The drinks are good value, the venue is clean and the staff are lovely. John was very helpful as my partner struggled to book tickets online, but he managed to sort it out for us. He was attentive, enthusiastic and made our evening with how lovely he was!
