About Jolyons Boutique Hotel

An organic Irish breakfast and a cosy bar serving light bites set the tone at Jolyons Boutique Hotel, a small seven-room property on Bute Crescent in Cardiff. The bar makes a relaxed spot to unwind after a day exploring, while the breakfast offering gives mornings a proper start before heading out.

Rooms are limited in number, keeping things intimate rather than sprawling, and guests have access to free Wi-Fi and luggage storage throughout their stay. The hotel is also pet friendly, so those travelling with animals needn't leave them behind. Its bright, welcoming feel has been a consistent note among those who've stayed.

The location puts Cardiff Bay within easy reach, just 0.30 miles away, with Weston Seaquarium nearby adding a further point of interest for anyone wanting to fill a spare afternoon. There's also a choice of pubs, bars and restaurants close by for evenings out, plus entertainment options within easy reach for those wanting more from their stay.

We spent a weekend here and were thoroughly impressed. The hotel's design is chic and modern, yet the room was incredibly comfortable and quiet. The bed was like a cloud, and the rainfall shower was fantastic. The location is unbeatable, within walking distance of all the main attractions. The staff at the front desk were exceptionally helpful, providing great recommendations for local restaurants. A wonderful base for exploring the city.

Just got back from a long weekend staying in this excellent quaint hotel. Our room was exceptionally clean and the bed extremely comfy. Excellent location with the bars and restaurants at Mermaid Quay only metres away. The vibrant city centre is just a few bus stops or short boat trip away. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Thanks very much, we really enjoyed our stay.

Stayed for 3 nights in September 2012 and loved every minute. I had the room with the large private balcony which was quite cozy and had a luxuriously huge bathtub.. The staff was helpful and welcoming and had lots of great suggestions for nearby things to do and places to see. The Bar Cwtch downstairs served excellent meals and drinks and if you go out the back door to the patio, you might recognize a certain blue police box painted on the door! It is in the perfect location as well, right in the thick of the nightlife in Cardiff Bay!

The rooms are lovely and the bathrooms are spacious with bathtubs. The most annoying things is the self check-in, which would also have been fine if they provided the correct information during the booking. You get your code to the front door and the room door in your email when you book. It is also easy to figure out the codes for the other rooms... So don't leave your card key in the key box when you are out for the day. Overall great place and really good location. They just have poor (non existent) check in service which probably doesn't happen all the time!
