I stayed at the Road House Hotel for four nights while traveling solo and found it to be great value. The room was spacious, clean, and surprisingly quiet despite the bar being downstairs. It was a really comfortable stay and the shower was great. The TV was a highlight since I could log into my Netflix and Prime accounts, and having a kettle for tea and coffee in the room was a nice touch. The free Wi-Fi and the 10% guest discount on drinks at the bar were excellent bonuses. I’d definitely stay here again.

I've stayed in a few hotels in Carlisle what charges double or more and its not worth it. The staff at roadhouse are kind and will help you when needed. Great location for the city centre. The hotel bar and breakfast lounge is fantastic for what you need. Excellent stay and excellent price for Carlisle and amenities.

It did say for the rooms that not to expect much and it's basic, so we had a low expectations. And yet still was worse than we thought. The carpets should defo need cleaning, toilet seats needs fixing, toilet/bathroom needs to have fixed curtain pole(bedrooom, too) and there was no handwashing liquid or hair conditioner. The two things we liked; beds were cômy and the receiptionist were helpful and friendly, ensured to give us our room before she left.

Room was small but clean 10% discount on the bar is good. Couldn't make the shower work though 😕 staff were helpful and friendly. It's in a run down area there is a retail park close though also a dominos and kebab shop just across the road.
