Clean, tidy, small room with shower. Comfortable bed, did not like the pillows. Cosy place to stay, happy hours at the bar. Staffs were helpfull and friendly. Breakfast was ok good selection. The people in Carlyle were very friendly, good to be around great place to visit, hotel just outside the trainstation. Parking a nightmare. Would stay again, wowcher deal, bottle of wine and late checkout at 1pm.

For convenience to the station the hotel is spot on, as we were on a special train tour and arrived late in the evening. The rooms however were not great. For the price we paid I really would expect a little more, just the small stuff. The carpets in the corner were thread bare. The bathroom was incredibly dated, with a glass shelf that overhung the sink so you couldn't lower your head to brush your teeth without fear of striking your bonce. The paint on the window frame was awful and for a couple, the double bed was pushed up against one wall! The most expensive part of the room were probably the new plugs. And the lift didn't work. You couldn't fault the service of staff however, very attentive and the paid breakfast was very tasty. In all though, sorry, I wouldn't stay here again.

I had a very disappointing stay at Carlisle Station Hotel. I had already completed my check-in online, but when I arrived, I still had to wait, and the receptionist had to apologize for the delay. The room was in a terrible condition. It was dirty, untidy, and clearly not properly cleaned. The sheets, blanket, and pillow were all on the floor, the shower gel was empty, and the overall appearance of the room was very poor. Honestly, this was extremely frustrating and disappointing. I expected much better, and I would not recommend this hotel.

This hotel does exactly what it says on the tin. Perfectly ok accommodation in a great location, right next to the station, at a very reasonable price. We stayed in a room that slept 3 and it was fine - spacious and clean, but pretty basic. The best thing is the staff - super friendly and helpful. Can recommend.
