About Premier Inn Carlisle Central
Premier Inn Carlisle Central is a low-rise, three-floor hotel built in the brand's familiar contemporary style, offering 65 en-suite rooms just outside Carlisle city centre. Rooms come with blackout curtains, good showers and free WiFi, making it a straightforward, no-fuss base whether you're passing through on the M6 or staying longer. Some rooms can pick up noise from the building itself, so light sleepers might want an interior room if given the choice.
There's a restaurant on site serving breakfast with a good range of options including vegan choices, plus drinks available in the room and a 24 hour reception for flexible arrival. The hotel has a lift, accessible rooms, and an electric vehicle charge point, and parking is free on site at the front, side and rear.
Carlisle Castle is within easy reach, and the surrounding area offers golf, fishing, horse riding and entertainment nearby, along with pubs and bars for an evening out. The nearby Rosehill Industrial Estate also makes this a practical stop for business visitors.
What guests say
Excellent value; great food and the most comfortable night’s sleep I’ve had in ages. The premier ‘plus’ rooms have air con which was highly appreciated on a very hot evening. The rooms are spotless and the 12 noon check out - whilst not required by many - was a real bonus as I awaited a friend. Staff were most accommodating. An excellent location to begin a trip to Northumbria, and a wonderful start to the holiday.

Pretty standard for a Premier Inn hotel, clean, fairly modern hotel. The attached restaurant was ok, quick service, food was hot. The meal deal for guests is pretty good value.

1 night stay with family, 2 rooms in the annex. Rooms are modern and clean. Location is excellent as a pit-stop on the way to Scotland. Gotta say tho, we will come back and explore the area and stop there again. Staff, especially Jenny on reception, are extremely helpful.
